The Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery

The Salam Centre is run and managed by the Italian based humanitarian organisation EMERGENCY.
Since April 2007, the Centre provides high standard, free of charge paediatric and adult cardiac surgery.

MORTALITY

Since the opening of the Salam Centre in April 2007, operative mortality has been calculated as 30-day mortality, i.e. the number of deaths from any related cause within 30 days from surgery.
